Rotherhithe is rich in local history and is part of the old London Docklands. Central London is just 20 minutes away and there is always something going on in the area. There are many attractions in Rotherhithe including the Brunel Museum and Sands Film Studios close by. The London Marathon passes the court each year.
The area has a number of pubs, restaurants, cafés and delicatessens, as well as newsagents, a betting shop, hairdresser and several churches.
Seven Islands leisure centre is a 10-minute walk away and there is a library at nearby Canada Water.
Ronald Buckingham Court enjoys excellent transport links, situated next to Rotherhithe station which is one stop away from Canada Water Underground station on the Jubilee line. Local buses run every 10 minutes from a stop just outside the development and take residents to Victoria and Waterloo.
The court has a range of facilities for residents including a welcoming communal lounge, guest room and laundry.
Residents are encouraged to get involved with the gardening if they wish, and many have their own small plots to take care of. The gardens attract a variety of wildlife including squirrels, foxes and many birds including a family of parakeets!

Residents of this friendly court have the opportunity to engage with a variety of social activities in the pleasant communal lounge. These include coffee mornings, bingo, fitness sessions and arts and crafts classes - plus there is the opportunity for off-site day trips. The court gardens provide a pleasant area for a spot of outdoor relaxation in fine weather, and keen gardeners are welcome to get involved with helping to tend the garden if they wish.
Across the road are a supermarket, doctor’s surgery, pharmacy and Saturday market, while nearby Surrey Quays shopping centre has larger stores and supermarkets. Southwark Park is a short walk away, and there is a library at nearby Canada Water.
