What a difference a year makes! In May 2019 we hosted our first Lunar Society event “The Changing face of the Care workforce”, discussing the parity that the care sector should be given with NHS and other healthcare sectors.
The upcoming event on 7 May is a discussion chaired by our Head of Strategic Engagement, Vanessa Pritchard-Wilkes.
This virtual event, via Zoom video conferencing, will explore changes over the past year – and asks how has Coronavirus (COVID-19) affected how we think of those who work in care settings?
Panellists include Sonia Parnell, who runs her own care home and has more than 20 years’ experience in the care industry; Bruce Moore, Chief Executive of Housing 21 and Robin Miller, Head of the Department of Social Work & Social Care and Co-Director of the Centre for Health & Social Care Leadership at University of Birmingham.
To register for this free online event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 12 noon on Thursday 7 May.
The event will finish prior to 8pm to enable those who wish to do so, to join in the evening’s ‘Clap for Carers’ at 8pm.
