Apsana plays a key role in supporting Legacy West Midlands with its wellbeing agenda, ensuring that all projects are monitored. Apsana joined Legacy West Midlands in January 2015, bringing a wealth of community work experience. She started her journey as a volunteer, moving into paid work at Saathi House – a women’s centre based in Aston.

Apsana was also one of the leading lights at the Bangladeshi Youth Forum where she headed up the youth work and employment team.

Apsana is a trained mentor and has worked extensively with secondary school pupils. She has a natural ability to engage with individuals who are considered ‘hard to reach’. Apsana is equally adept at building relationships and is a key player in several strategic partnerships in northwest Birmingham.
