HousingAI combines a curated knowledge base of more than 2,000 documents, covering UK housing legislation, RSH standards, and Ombudsman determinations, with advanced AI to give housing associations continuous, sector-specific compliance support.
Before founding HousingAI, Phil built and successfully exited SDS Ltd, which grew to become the UK's leading housing development software company, serving over 100 housing associations and local authorities. He brings more than 20 years of experience in social housing software, product leadership, and PropTech innovation.
Phil holds an Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management and serves as a trustee of the Cranfield Trust and The Centre for Strategic International Governance. A technical founder at heart, he has hands-on experience across .NET, Python, and modern AI development stacks, and regularly speaks on the intersection of AI, governance, and regulatory compliance in social housing.
Phil has previously spoken at the NHF Governance Conference, where he addressed the governance information gap facing housing boards and made the case for continuous regulatory oversight as an alternative to episodic consultancy engagements. He is passionate about helping the sector navigate AI adoption safely and effectively.
