Housing 21, is proud to reveal that Potter Court is the name of its latest Retirement Living development in Doncaster.
Potter Court will be an all-electric, low-carbon scheme featuring efficient heating and cooling technologies.
The name was chosen because of Doncaster’s historic Roman past, archaeological excavations in Doncaster have uncovered Roman pottery, including tableware and storage vessels.
Residents will benefit from being close to local amenities and have access to on-site communal facilities such as; a buggy store, landscaped gardens, a spacious communal lounge, and a dedicated Local Housing Manager.
Located on Sunningdale Road in the town of Balby, the scheme will provide affordable independent housing for people over the age of 55. The development consists of 13 two-bedroom bungalows and 43 one- and two-bedroom stylish apartments all of which will be available for social rent.
Alison Leppingwell, Operations Manager at Housing 21 said: “We are excited to officially name our sixth scheme in Doncaster, Potter Court.
“People over the age of 55 will benefit from an affordable rented apartment or bungalow based in Balby. We are delighted to work with Hoober Urban Partnerships on this project.”
Councillor Glyn Jones, City of Doncaster Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Housing and Business said: “This is a great project, delivering vital low carbon homes in the City of Doncaster. These social rent apartments for those over the age of 55 will support residents to maintain their independence and have access to on-site communal facilities and close to local amenities.
“I look forward to visiting this scheme when it completes and welcomes its first residents in 2026.”
The scheme is due to open summer 2026. For more information, visit the website: https://www.housing21.org.uk/our-properties/search-our-properties/potter-court/
