In addition to providing strong and stable leadership, Andy is also admired by his peers for his parenting and ability to achieve a work-life balance that has typically eluded many career-driven senior figures.

Andy is known across the organisation not just for his financial leadership but for his personable and approachable nature. In addition to being voted Mentor of the Year by his colleagues, he was also recognised externally by the West Midlands Finance Awards, where he was highly commended in the Rising Star category.

Bruce Moore, Chief Executive at Housing 21 commended Andy on making the 40 under 40 list: “Throughout his career with us, Andy has shown himself to be a committed and passionate leader.

“To become Chief Financial Officer of a large organisation before the age of 40 reflects his hard work and commitment to his role. With Andy at the helm of our finances, we know we have a strong base with which to meet our goals and aspirations, whilst continuing to provide high-quality housing and services for residents.

Sarah Smith, Head of Group Property Compliance at Housing 21 was also shortlisted. Sarah joined Housing 21 in 2020, her experience has been invaluable in bringing a fresh approach to Housing 21.
