Mike is a Board Member and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at Housing 21 and also sits on the Asset Management, Development and Acquisitions Committee. He is an experienced strategic finance and treasury professional with over 18 continuous years as a customer focused Non-Executive Director (NED) in the Social Housing sector and has 40 years’ experience in Corporate Banking. He is a qualified Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking.
As Group Chair of Futures Housing from 2019 - 2024, he helped to successfully lead the organisation through two inspections by the Regulator for Social Housing and prior to that, Mike chaired the Group Audit and Risk Committees for both Futures and Stafford and Rural Homes.
In his Corporate Banking career with Lloyds Bank, Mike established and led a high-performing team delivering high-value funding and treasury deals into the Social Housing sector and other not for profit sectors.
Mike also works as a Non-Executive Director for SJ Group, a bespoke recruitment business, and as Executive Director for Social Impact Works Ltd which assists SME’s in securing project finance.
