Rosemarie Jenkins - Board Member
Rosemarie Jenkins’s career spans 40 years, of which over 25 years has been spent working on residential and mixed-use projects from conception to completion. She has worked for council’s, housing associations, the Probation Service and the private sector. Rosemarie is a RICS qualified Construction Project Manager and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Policy and Administration. Her current role is as Development Team Leader for Camden Council’s Community Investment Team.
Her strengths are high-level communication skills and an ability to articulate and share the vision necessary to achieve high value outcomes for her employers and the communities she seeks to support.
Rosemarie has strong technical skills in financial appraisal modelling and monitoring. Her experience and expertise include communications, consultation and engagement, risk management, sustainable design and maximising economic and personal value for communities through the contracts delivered on behalf social landlords.
Rosemarie has sat on a number of not-for-profit boards that specialise in housing provision of single people in London and the Midlands, adding value through her work with street homeless people in Central London and those experiencing mental health issues in Lambeth. Rosemarie’s driving force is to see regenerated areas sustaining their multi-dimensional communities (which is often its attraction) to offer more genuinely affordable housing and integrated spaces for all. This is reflected in a strong personal commitment to see greater opportunities for multi-generational housing.
Rosemarie has, through direct experience as a carer, experienced the challenges facing older people and this is one of the key reasons for her desire to contribute to the work of Housing 21.
