An open day was held for residents and the wider community to mark the completion of a £1.4 million investment project at Penfold Court in London Marylebone.
The Extra Care scheme transferred to Housing 21 in February 2023 as part of an acquisition with Notting Hill Genesis. Councillor Ruth Bush was in attendance for the official ribbon cutting ceremony as well as representatives from Housing 21, partners CLC and Nazeing Heating.
The investment work at Penfold Court included the upgrade of the existing bathrooms, an improved heating system and the installation of an emergency call system.
Edwin is a resident at Penfold Court, he said: “I can’t fault everything that has been done at the scheme. It is looking really nice. I’m very happy with all the changes.”
A new fire alarm system was also installed, along with the lighting throughout the scheme.
Residents were involved in decisions regarding the colour schemes for the communal area which also received a complete makeover, this included new furniture for the resident’s lounge.
