Residents affected by domestic abuse will continue to benefit from Housing 21's commitment to high-quality support following the organisation's successful renewal of its membership with the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA).
The renewal reflects the housing provider’s continued dedication to embedding best practice across its services and ensuring colleagues have the knowledge, skills and resources required to support residents experiencing abuse.
Retaining DAHA membership is a testament to the hard work and commitment of teams across the organisation who strive to create safe communities within Housing 21 schemes and deliver person-centred support to residents. It also demonstrates the ongoing focus on safeguarding and partnership working towards continuous service improvement.
Safeguarding Advisor, Ruth Gipson, has successfully completed her Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) qualification, providing Housing 21 with a dedicated specialist trainer to support victims of domestic abuse and those at high risk of harm. As a qualified IDVA, Ruth is equipped to advocate on behalf of victims and provide expert guidance and support, further strengthening Housing 21’s commitment to tackling domestic abuse and safeguarding residents.
