Elaine Elkington appointed Chair of the Board

Elaine Elkington has been appointed as Chair of the Housing 21 Board following the resignation of Gurpreet Dehal.

Elaine, who is an existing member of the Board and has previously been Chair of the Extra Care Committee, was appointed into the role on Tuesday, 7 May.

She takes over the role from Gurpreet, who had previously been appointed as Chair on 2 February 2024. Gurpreet took the decision to step down to allow time to focus on his other professional commitments. 

In his resignation Gurpreet commented that he had “valued the opportunity to contribute to this excellent organisation”.

Elaine’s appointment takes place with immediate effect.
