A successful launch event was held for Housing 21’s Retirement Living scheme, Potter Court in Doncaster.

Held on Friday 22 May at The White Church – St Peter in Warmsworth, the event welcomed prospective residents, local stakeholders and members of the community eager to learn more about the upcoming development. Attendees had the opportunity to meet the team behind Potter Court, explore plans for the scheme and collect information on the range of homes and facilities on offer.

Potter Court will provide affordable, independent living for people aged 55 and over, comprising 13 two-bedroom bungalows and 43 stylish one- and two-bedroom apartments, all available for social rent. The development has been designed with modern lifestyles in mind.

Visitors at the launch event were particularly interested in the scheme’s thoughtful features, including beautifully landscaped gardens, a buggy store and a spacious communal lounge designed to encourage social interaction and provide a comfortable space to host family and friends. A dedicated Local Housing Manager will also be on site to ensure residents receive day-to-day support.

Located on Sunningdale Road in Balby, Potter Court will benefit from excellent connectivity and access to amenities, including nearby shops, healthcare services, transport links and green spaces. Its all-electric, low-carbon design reflects a commitment to sustainability while helping residents keep living costs manageable.

The event offered a first glimpse into what promises to be a vibrant new community for those looking to downsize or enjoy a more relaxed pace of life in a modern, energy-efficient home.

Alison Leppingwell, Operations Manager at Housing 21 said: “We were delighted to see such a positive turnout for the launch of Potter Court. It’s clear there is strong demand for high-quality, affordable Retirement Living in Doncaster.

“This development will provide residents with the independence they value, alongside opportunities to connect and feel part of a community.”

Interest in the scheme is already growing, and those who were unable to attend are encouraged to find out more or register their interest.
