As part of South Asian Heritage Month, we spoke with cohousing resident Mohammed about his experience of living with Housing 21.
This time last year, Mohammed shared his excitement of moving into Rupali Court, and a year later he is now enjoying life in his new home.
“Sometimes when you are on your own, you feel that you are lonely. I haven't come to that point yet that I'm missing out something, but I'm enjoying every moment.”
Mohammed has enjoyed getting to know the other residents that have moved into the scheme and is looking forward to being involved in the activities they have planned, such as the recent open day that was held for stakeholders and the local community.
“This is our house, this is our apartment, this is our garden, so we can share everything with each other.
“The reality is, it's a dream fulfilled. Whatever we were expecting, it is beyond our expectation.”
