A grand opening for a new Retirement Living scheme in Hayling Island welcomed members of the local community.
South Hayling Court, which is owned and operated by Housing 21, hosted an event for residents and members of the public to explore the stylish new apartments and communal facilities. The scheme is designed to support independent living for people over the age of 55 with a Local Housing Manager on-site Monday - Thursday.
South Hayling Court is Housing 21’s first Retirement Living scheme in Hayling Island and offers 39 one- and two bedroom apartments which are available for rent and shared ownership. With 87 percent of the scheme now full, there are just a few apartments remaining to reserve.
A special guest at the Grand Opening helped cut the ribbon, which was done by Greg Berry, a resident at South Hayling Court and a proud veteran. Visitors also enjoyed entertainment from a local singer. Attendees also had a chance to meet the dedicated on-site team, including the Local Housing Manager.

The Grand Opening was a wonderful celebration of what South Hayling Court has to offer, and we look forward to welcoming more residents to live with us.”
The event also marked seven months since the opening of this £15.5 million all-electric, low-carbon scheme. Located on Elm Grove, the scheme is ideal for those looking to downsize and enjoy a vibrant, supportive community.
