As we mark National Inclusion Week, two Housing 21 residents shared their experiences of friendship, community and belonging in a new video that highlights what inclusion really means in everyday life.

Residents and neighbours in Manchester, Tony and Georgina, reflect on their experiences of living in a Housing 21 community and the difference that connection, friendship and feeling part of something can make. They discuss how being involved in community life has helped them build relationships, maintain their independence and feel supported.

National Inclusion Week provides an opportunity to celebrate the value of creating environments where everyone feels welcomed, respected and able to participate. At Housing 21, we know that strong communities are built on inclusion, and that feeling connected to others can have a positive impact on wellbeing, confidence and quality of life.

Tony and Georgina's stories demonstrate that inclusion is about more than simply being present. It's about feeling valued, having opportunities to contribute and knowing you belong. Through friendships, shared experiences and everyday interactions, Housing 21 communities help create places where residents can thrive.

Whether it's joining activities, sharing interests with neighbours or simply enjoying a conversation over a cup of tea, these moments help foster the welcoming and supportive communities that are at the heart of Housing 21.

We would like to thank Tony and Georgina for sharing their experiences and helping us celebrate National Inclusion Week by highlighting the importance of connection, belonging and community.
