The court is well served by five doctors surgeries and a local minor injuries unit at Exmouth Hospital. Just across the road from the court is Phear Park with its outdoor gym, golfing facilities and café. The park also provides a relaxing place for a stroll or walking your dog.
Exmouth is just a mile away and offers a diverse range of shops, bars, places to eat and things to do, with excellent leisure facilities and a programme of cultural events throughout the year.
A regular bus service goes into Exmouth from outside the court and there are connections from the town into Exeter by bus. A mainline train service runs to Exeter, Barnstaple and Paignton and stations in between.
The gardens are mainly laid to lawn and residents enjoy maintaining their own flower pots and hanging baskets. Wildlife is a feature of the gardens with foxes, squirrels, rabbits, birds and even badgers having been spotted.

Activities are organised by the Friends of Dening Court and include coffee mornings, bingo sessions, afternoon tea, knit & natter sessions and line dancing. The lawned gardens are popular with local wildlife and are an ideal outdoor space to relax in fine weather and green-fingered residents are welcome to maintain their own pots and hanging baskets.
