Our Extra Care scheme Fountain Court offers independent living with on-site care for people over the age of 55. The one-bedroom apartments and bungalows are available to rent.
Fountain Court has been designed to provide fully accessible facilities for residents and members of the public. Residents can benefit from a laundry room, residents’ lounge, buggy store, guest room, and communal gardens for residents and their guests to enjoy. The scheme is also pet friendly.
As well as support from a Care Team, the court is managed by a dedicated onsite Local Housing and Care Manager, who will ensure that day-to-day life runs smoothly.
Located on Armstrong Street, Fountain Court is conveniently located near amenities such as a railway station and a local bus stop which is 100 yards from the court.

In 2025-26, Housing 21 commissioned Acuity to carry out a Care Satisfaction Survey with residents who receive a care component in an Extra Care scheme.
The purpose of the survey is to provide quality data to help improve the service provision. We undertook a census approach of Extra Care residents who could complete the survey online by scanning a QR code. Alternatively, they had the option to complete the paper version and return the survey themselves or get help from someone else.
