Clacton offers all the traditional attractions of a seaside resort including the beach, pier, two theatres, a cinema and bingo hall. There are also numerous pubs, clubs, cafés and amusements. The town hosts an annual two-day airshow in August, which is always popular and attracts a large number of visitors.
A circular bus service picks up and drops off right outside the court and takes residents into town. There is also a convenient dial-a-ride service that can be used to access the out-of-town stores. Clacton offers excellent transport links to the wider area, including the larger town of Colchester 14 miles away and London’s Liverpool Street train station.

Heseltine Court has an active social scene, with a group of dedicated volunteers who help with organising events for residents to enjoy in the pleasant surroundings of the communal lounge.
Regular activities at the court include coffee mornings, bingo sessions, darts evenings, organ nights and fish and chip suppers. The lounge has a dart board and a pool table.
The extensive landscaped gardens provide a lovely open space for a spot of outdoor relaxation in fine weather, and those with green fingers are welcome to help with the gardening if they choose.
There are several convenience stores close to the court, and Clacton has a number of larger shops and supermarkets just a short bus ride away.
