Shearman Court has both Retirement Living and Extra Care apartments available.
Communal facilities include a guest room with shower facilities, hair salon, laundry room and mobility scooter storage space. Shearman Court has well kept gardens where residents are encouraged to take part in a spot of gardening if they wish.
There is good local transport with plenty of taxis and buses which serve the local villages; Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.
In 2025-26, Housing 21 commissioned Acuity to carry out a Care Satisfaction Survey with residents who receive a care component in an Extra Care scheme.
The purpose of the survey is to provide quality data to help improve the service provision. We undertook a census approach of Extra Care residents who could complete the survey online by scanning a QR code. Alternatively, they had the option to complete the paper version and return the survey themselves or get help from someone else.

Shearman Court has an activities co-ordinator overseeing various daily events that are on offer to residents.
These include bingo, exercise classes, craft workshops and lunch clubs; there are also off-site day trips to look forward to and the well kept, landscaped gardens offer a pleasant outdoor space for relaxation and socialising in fine weather.
Locally, there are plenty of supermarkets, a post office, town hall, theatre, leisure centre and various churches.
