Canon Appleton Court enjoys a peaceful location in a quiet residential area just south of the centre of Canterbury and close to the wealth of amenities offered by the historic city.
The court has a range of on-site facilities including a communal lounge, laundry, guest room for friends and family to stay, lift and car park.
The scheme has attractive gardens with a large lawn surrounded by flowerbeds, which residents are welcome to take care of if they choose. Some residents also have gardens outside their front doors with pots and planting to add colour in spring and summer. There are pleasant seating areas where residents can relax and enjoy a cup of tea or watch the birds and foxes which visit the gardens
Canterbury has a good range of high street shops, independent stores, pubs, cafés, restaurants, banks, doctors surgeries, dentists and places of worship. There are also supermarkets and corner shops within easy reach, including Morrison’s, Londis, Aldi, Iceland and the city holds regular market days.
Buses run regularly into the centre of Canterbury from a stop just a few metres away, or there are several reliable taxi companies which service the court. Canterbury East train station is a five-minute walk from the court and offers connections to the wider area.

Canon Appleton Court is a friendly scheme where residents enjoy regular bingo sessions and games evenings, which the local community is welcome to attend.
The vibrant city centre is less than a mile away and boasts a wide range of attractions, including the famous Cathedral, Norman castle, St Augustine’s Abbey, Martyr’s Field and the Marlow Theatre.
