Craddock Court is a friendly and sociable scheme just outside the quiet market town of Nailsworth near Stroud, with views of the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.

The court is a short bus ride away from the centre of Nailsworth and five miles from the larger town of Stroud. Nailsworth holds regular farmers’ markets and an annual festival.

The area around Nailsworth offers pleasant if hilly walks and cycle routes. The commons at Minchinhampton and Rodborough are popular places to enjoy the warmer weather. The Princess Royal lives nearby at Gatcombe Park.

Local buses go to Nailsworth and Stroud from a stop just a few hundred yards from the court. The town offers further bus links to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bath, Cirencester and other Cotswold towns. The nearest dial-a-ride is in Stroud and there are several reliable taxi services in the area. Stroud has its own train station providing direct services to London Paddington.

The sloping gardens are well-maintained with patio areas providing a pleasant place for residents to sit, relax and enjoy the countryside views. Green-fingered residents are welcome to get involved with the gardening if they wish. The court’s location means it attracts a variety of wildlife including birds, squirrels, rabbits and even a family of badgers who visit every night.
