Opening in Summer 2027
Drovers Lodge is an independent living Retirement Living scheme in Shaftesbury designed for people aged 55 and over.
The scheme will consist of 41 modern apartments, compromising of 27 one-bedroom apartments and 14 two-bedroom apartments, and is due to open in Summer 2027.
Eligibility for the scheme
Applications are not yet open but will be through two routes:
- Housing 21: our minimum age to apply is 55 years old but priority is given to those over the age of 65. You can find more on our eligibility criteria here: Housing 21 offers Extra Care and Retirement Living properties for social rent
- Dorset Council: you can apply for Dorset Council’s housing register and find out more on their allocations policy through the following link – Register for housing - Dorset Council. They may require a local connection.
