Edward Jobson Court, near Addiscombe, East Croydon, is on a tree-lined road close to a park and has its own well-tended communal gardens. The main Croydon shopping area is a short tram ride away.

Communal gardens surround the court, with many flower borders and beds, as well as some mature trees. There are benches around the gardens for residents to sit and relax, and they are also welcome to help with the gardening. When the weather allows, the gardens are used to host barbecues. Inside, the court features a residents' lounge, a guest room, a communal kitchen and a lift.

Life at Edward Jobson Court

Edward Jobson Court has an active social committee involved in arranging a variety of activities for residents to enjoy in the spacious communal lounge. These include bingo, bowls and line dancing, as well as regular coffee and tea afternoons. Also on offer are off-site day trips to the coast. The mature gardens have plentiful seating for a spot of outdoor relaxation in fine weather, and residents are welcome to help with the gardening if they choose.

A Tesco, Co-op, fish and chip shop, newsagents, doctor's surgery and dentist are within walking distance, as well as some pubs and cafes. There is a church next door to the court, and buses and trams stop nearby.
