Comprising 51 spacious one and two bedroom apartments, each property has a well-appointed kitchen and bathroom, is accessible by lift and is fitted with a 24-hour emergency alarm.
Communal facilities include a restaurant and residents’ lounge, as well as a guest suite for use by visiting friends and family.
Thackley is an attractive and popular village with a range of amenities. Most of its shops, pubs and eateries are to be found in Thackley Corner and a section of Leeds Road. Here you will find a newsagent, salon, butcher and dry-cleaner. The village has three pubs, The Great Northern, The Commercial and The Black Rat. Many of the properties in the north of the village are historic farm buildings, with some specialising in horse riding.
The nearest train station to Thackley is in Shipley, and provides connections to Bradford, Leeds and Keighley. The village is also well-located for road travel to Bradford and Leeds.
In 2025-26, Housing 21 commissioned Acuity to carry out a Care Satisfaction Survey with residents who receive a care component in an Extra Care scheme.
The purpose of the survey is to provide quality data to help improve the service provision. We undertook a census approach of Extra Care residents who could complete the survey online by scanning a QR code. Alternatively, they had the option to complete the paper version and return the survey themselves or get help from someone else.

A care team is based on site to provide tailored care packages to meet the needs of the individual. There is someone on site 24/7 to provide unplanned care and help with emergencies. There is also a Manager on site to provide day-to-day support and to help with management of properties, such as organising repairs and maintenance.
