Howard Vyse Court is a very friendly and welcoming scheme in the village of Great Clacton on the outskirts of Clacton-on-Sea, with a range of local amenities on its doorstep.

The Essex Sunshine Coast offers plenty for residents to do. Clacton-on-Sea boasts award-winning beaches, attractive seafront gardens and traditional amusements, while the historic port of Harwich is also within easy reach.

Clacton-on-Sea is just 10 minutes away by car or bus, or half an hour on foot. The town holds a variety of annual events, including a popular carnival and air show in August. Nearby recreational facilities include a cinema, two theatres, a bingo hall and leisure centre. The town also boasts a famous pier.

Local buses run every half an hour into Clacton or to the supermarkets from the stop outside the court. Clacton has a train station providing transport links to towns and cities further afield. There is also a convenient dial-a-ride service which can be booked in advance and reliable local taxis that service the court.

Life at Howard Vyse Court

This lively, welcoming court has an active social committee and there are regular activities on offer to residents; these include bingo sessions, quiz nights, games evenings, social evenings, meditation and relaxation - there's even a resident DJ hosting music nights!

Other events have included a cheese and wine evening, a strawberry and Pimms afternoon, pie and mash nights and a variety of themed events.

The attractive landscaped gardens are a pleasant place for residents to sit and chat with friends and neighbours or simply relax and watch the local wildlife; they may also get involved with a spot of gardening if they choose.
