There is a popular free ring-and-ride service which residents use to travel to the town and local shops. The nearest train station is a 10-minute drive away at Habrough and Humberside airport is seven miles away.

Child-friendly gardens surround the court and there is a pleasant patio outside the lounge with a gazebo and places for residents to sit and enjoy the warmer weather. The gardens are used as a social space in summer, with bowling and sports days on the lawn and coffee mornings and church services under the gazebo. Family members are welcome to attend the events. Residents take pride in tending the gardens and fund raise to buy plants and equipment.
The court attracts a wide range of wildlife including sparrow hawks, kestrels, stoats, foxes, squirrels and occasional herons. Planting at the court is designed to attract bees and butterflies.
