Mere View Court is an Extra Care scheme, offering independent living in spacious and contemporary apartments in the picturesque village of Haughley in Suffolk, with care services based on site and a range of attractive communal facilities.
The court comprises 32 one and two bedroom self-contained apartments, with fitted kitchens and modern bathrooms. Communal facilities include a café, lounge area, hair salon, laundry and a guest room for use by visiting family and friends.
There is a food store in the village nearby, and a selection of supermarkets in the surrounding areas. The village hosts a range of events and celebrations such as fairs, fund days and scarecrow competitions, which residents are invited to take part in.
Nearby Stowmarket, which is served by regular buses, has a wider range of attractions, including a cinema, café and sports centre. It also has two doctors and a dentist.

Residents at Mere View Court have their own social committee to help arrange activities and events. A Songs of Praise event takes place each month for those who are not able to visit the church.
Mere View Court is a short walk from the centre of Haughley, where you can find a pub, Post Office, coffee shop, Indian restaurant and St Mary’s Church, which dates back to the 14th Century.
