Mildmays is an Extra Care scheme situated in Islington, London.
The scheme enables residents to live independently with access to 24/7 on-site care and support for people over the age of 55. Residents also have access to a communal lounge, hair salon, gardens, restaurant, dining room and a guest room for when family come to visit. All apartments are available to rent.
Living in Extra Care means you live in your new home but with the peace of mind that having help on hand brings. You have your own front door and letterbox; can have friends and family to visit (without asking permission) and can bring your pets with you too.
Mildmays is conveniently located near the vibrant shops and cafes of Angel. Multiple Underground Stations including Dalston Junction and Canonbury can be found just a short walking distance away too.
In 2025-26, Housing 21 commissioned Acuity to carry out a Care Satisfaction Survey with residents who receive a care component in an Extra Care scheme.
The purpose of the survey is to provide quality data to help improve the service provision. We undertook a census approach of Extra Care residents who could complete the survey online by scanning a QR code. Alternatively, they had the option to complete the paper version and return the survey themselves or get help from someone else.
