Rupali Court

Introducing our flagship cohousing project in Lozells, Birmingham, Rupali Court.

The cohousing model encourages residents to share communal facilities to create a strong sense of community. This can help to tackle social isolation and bring about social, environmental and economic benefits by sharing resources.

The scheme was named by the local community, Rupali means ‘silver’ in Bengali and ‘most beautiful’ in Hindi, reflecting the positive connotations that silver has for older people in the Bengali community, alongside the character and spirit the completed scheme will encompass.

In addition to the 25 apartments, the scheme includes, a multi-faith room and landscaped communal garden. There is also a common house area with a kitchen and open space, where the community can come together to cook and host the community for local events.
