Construction work has finished at Michaelmas Court in Thurston.  Housing 21’s new Extra Care scheme will welcome residents this summer. 

The celebrations are in full swing as Housing 21 received recognition at two recent award ceremonies, the Employee Benefits Awards and the Palliative Care Awards.  

At Sydney Jones Court in Manchester recently, as young players from FC United of Manchester’s youth team traded their football boots for gardening gloves to lend a helping hand to residents.

Residents at Laurel Gardens, Housing 21’s Extra Care scheme in Mancetter, Atherstone, officially opened their newly renovated garden space with a Summer Garden Party on Sunday 29 June.

A very special double birthday is taking place as siblings Bob and Joyce celebrate turning 93 and 99.

Chris was just 42 when he suffered a near fatal stroke from which he was not expected to survive. Seven years on, he has taken his first steps at the Extra Care scheme in Coseley where he lives.

Sam started her career in Retirement Living with Housing 21 in 2007 as a Court Manager at St Oswalds Court in Pontefract.

Residents and employees at an Extra Care development, have raised an impressive £1,640 for Dogs Trust through a community fundraiser.
