We were shortlisted in the Category for Commitment to Training and Development in the Caring UK Awards.
We were named as finalists in The Leadership Awards, for the Supporting Young Leaders Award and named the winner of the Employee Wellbeing Award.

Housing with Care Awards 2023 - Winner
We won four awards in the following categories:
The Housing with Care Employer Award where judges praised the clear vision for all residents and the commitment to career growth. They were particularly impressed with the Extra Care Academy as a tool to develop teams, support retention and make Housing 21 a great place to work.
The Housing with Care Apprentice Award: Care Worker Donna from Knaves Court was recognised for her enthusiasm and compassion, as well as being kind and excited to learn.
The Team Leader Award: Assistant Care Manager at Goldfield Court, Jacqueline was commended for her open and transparent approach and ability to get things done.
The Chef of the Year Award: Chef Lisa at Knaves Court was praised for ensuring residents have balanced and nutritious meals with a variety of options.
The National GO Awards 2023 - Finalist
We were shortlisted in the Contract and Supplier Management category.
Housing Digital Innovation Awards 2023 - Winner
We were named the winner for the Most innovative financial support scheme for our helping hands initiative at the Housing Digital Awards 2023. We were also named a finalist for Most innovative award for culture and wellbeing.
UK Housing Awards 2022 - Winner
We were named the winner for the best older people's landlord at the 2022 Inside Housing UK Housing Awards. Judges recognised our Helping Hands initiative and said, "Housing 21 has raised the benchmark for older people’s housing". More here
Social Care Awards 2022 - Finalist
Housing 21 Chief Executive, Bruce Moore made the final 10 in the Social Care Top 30 Awards on Wednesday 19 October 2022. The awards provide an opportunity to showcase excellence in senior leadership in the care sector. Bruce came in sixth place, out of the top 30 individuals making a difference in social care that were shortlisted for the award.

On 15 November we were recognised at the Investors in People Awards 2022, making the shortlist in the category UK Employer of the Year (250+ employees): Platinum.

Housing 21 was a finalist and named as 'Highly Commended' for the Later Living Operator Award at the 2022 RESI Awards.
Housing Digital Innovation Awards 2022 - Winner
We were named as the winners of the Most Innovative Supported/Sheltered Housing Scheme at the Housing Digital Innovation Awards 2022. Judges recognised the attention to detail afforded to residents at Meadow Walk in Fakenham Norfolk.
Investors in People Awards 2021 – Winner
In 2021 Housing 21 became Investors in People Platinum, the highest award which recognises organisations that contribute a direct, positive impact on people’s lives on a daily basis.
Constructing Excellence Regional Awards 2021 - Winner
Client of the Year
Named Client of the Year for the Yorkshire and Humber Region after being nominated by Esh Construction, who worked with us to deliver the Lady Ida Lodge Extra Care scheme in Cookridge, Leeds. In its submission, Esh praised the “role and leadership Housing 21 played through not only a challenging construction project, but throughout a global pandemic which posed issues that could never have been planned for”.

Client of the Year
We were nominated for the award by Esh Construction who worked in partnership with Housing 21 to deliver Lady Ida Lodge Extra Care scheme in Cookridge, Leeds. Despite the challenges posed by the global Covid-19 pandemic and the topography of the site, the scheme was delivered on time and within budget.
UK Housing Awards 2020 – Winner
Housing 21 was the winner of Best older people’s landlord at the UK Housing awards 2020. We were also shortlisted for Digital landlord of the year and Innovation in technology.
Housing Heroes 2019 - Shortlist
Our development team were shortlisted for the Development Team of the Year award at the Housing Heroes 2019.
LABC Excellence East Midlands Building Excellence Awards 2019 - Finalist
In May 2019, our team at Thomas Fields - one of our latest Extra Care Living courts in Buxton reached the finals of the LABC East Midlands Building Excellence Awards. We were shortlisted in four categories including Best High Volume New Housing Development, Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development, Best Inclusive Building and Best Large Commercial Project.
Inside Housing Development Awards 2018 - Winner
In November 2018, we were delighted to receive the Best Partnership Award (under 100 units), in conjunction with Doncaster Council and Historic England, for our work on Casson Court – a brand new Extra Care development in Thorne. The court was celebrated for the work that went into achieving grounds containing the remains of a sixteenth century motte and bailey castle – the Peel Hill Motte.

The Great British Care Awards 2018 - Shortlist
In November 2018, we had not one, not two, but six teams shortlisted in a variety of different categories at the Great British Care Award ceremonies held throughout the country. The awards are for those who provide social and specialist care to those who need it, whether it be in their own homes or in residential care homes.
Great Yorkshire & Humber Care Awards - Winner
Our care team at Limestone View was the proud winner of the Palliative Care/End of Life award in the Great Yorkshire and Humber Care Awards.
Great Yorkshire & Humber Care Awards – Finalist
Chantelle Downes, Assistant Care Manager at Applegarth Court in Bridlington was shortlisted for The Frontline Leaders Award.
West Midlands Care Awards – Finalist
Our teams at Goldfield Court and Knaves Court had great success reaching the finals at the West Midlands awards. Their shortlistings included many categories such as the Care Innovator Award, the Housing with Care Award, the Home Care Registered Manager Award and The Care Team Award.
North West Care Awards – Finalist
Rebecca Horrocks, Extra Care Administrator for the North West region was shortlisted for The Frontline Leaders Award.
South East Care Awards – Finalist
Jane Sewell, Housing and Care Manager at Holm Court was shortlisted for The Care Home Manager Award.
Alzheimer’s Society Awards 2018 - Finalist
In November 2018, Housing 21 was a finalist at the Alzheimer’s Society Awards 2018 in the “Dementia-Friendly Organisation of the Year (Large)” category.
Housing 21 has embedded work around dementia into every internal department and is striving to influence the work of external stakeholders in this area too.

Women in Housing Awards 2018 - Winner
In October 2018, our management team at Myles Court won the customer service/support team of the year award at the Women in Housing Awards.
The judges said: “This team has shown immense personal leadership to do its best for its residents. In doing so it has delivered numerous benefits, often via partnerships, creative problem solving and lobbying, as well as improved business performance.”
Two members of staff; Teresa McKenna, Head of Operations Support and Helen Judge, Court Manager at Myles Court were also finalists in the professional of the year (over 10,000 homes) award.
24housing’s 40 over 40
In November 2018, 24housing published its first 40 over 40 list, celebrating passionate housing professionals who work hard every day to improve the lives of residents.
Two of our staff members appeared on the list; Geoff Hopcraft, Lead Learning and Development Partner and Janice Crompton, Oldham Housing Services Manager. They were both recognised for their contributions to the housing sector during their collective 60+ years of service.
in 2019, the list featured our Leasehold Court Manager, Amanda Stevenson.
Inside Housing’s Tech Leaders 2018
In September 2018, our Chief Operating Officer, Tony Tench appeared on Inside Housing’s 2018 Tech Leaders list celebrating the social housing sector’s top tech innovators.
Tony’s lead on our digital call systems project is seeing the end-to-end digital replacement for analogue telephone services. Over 100 systems are now installed in our courts, reducing call times from 90 seconds to four. For vulnerable people living in our properties, this can have potentially life-saving results.
