Make A Difference Everyday in Corporate
A career with Housing 21 is a career with purpose. We asked colleagues in Corporate roles how they feel like they Make A Difference Everyday.

Nithan, IT Service Engineering Manager

“We enable our colleagues to work effectively every day by ensuring they have reliable equipment and technology to deliver their services to residents. We may not always work directly with residents, but the service they receive is directly impacted by how well we perform.”

Laura, Talent and Recruitment Manager

“I make a difference to my team by guiding them and supporting them in terms of providing the best recruitment and compliance to make sure that we reduce any risk and we keep residents safe by bringing the best people into the organisation. I support the business in terms of recruitment strategies, helping to reduce our costs by making sure that we're hiring directly into the organisation and not using recruitment agencies so that we're saving money which we can invest into our properties and residents.”

Beck, People Services Team Leader

“I think I make a difference by being a listening ear. If managers have an issue, worry or concern, they can literally call me and we can either have a conversation, whether that be in regard to the issue that they're facing or just have a general chit chat just to make them not think about the worries of work for 10 minutes, which is nice.”

Joel, Communications Executive

“I make a difference because it's so important to liaise with the residents, ensuring that they know that they've got a voice that's heard and facilitating that voice to ensure that their communications are tailored towards they what they need and what they want. It means we're not just forcing them into having information, we're giving them a chance to say ‘actually, we don’t need to know this, but we would like to know more about that’. It’s about giving them a chance to give feedback back to us.”

Musarat, Credit Control Team Leader

“I feel I make a difference because myself and the team, we work together with residents. They ring us up, they speak to us about the issues that they've got with their invoicing, and we help to resolve that. That is what makes me feel like we're making a difference in their lives by solving any issues that they may have.”

Sunny, Payroll Services Assistant

"I make a difference by paying people and solving queries and also working with my other team members to make sure that it's done in the best way it can possibly be done. I think as a Payroll Team we make sure that everybody's paid on time, effectively and if there is any issues we work together to solve it in a quick manner and I think we collaborate a lot and help solve the issues."

Fagee, Recruitment Assistant

“I make a difference in my role by offering support. I support my colleagues, the Recruitment Assistants and the wider People Services Team which includes Payroll, People Services, IT and Business and the wider team. My managers and colleagues will come to me with queries about different things that they need support with and sometimes things need to be expedited because it's like a last-minute thing that I need to support them to get done. I like to think I am a very supportive cog in the overall system.”
