Bringing community spirit to life, residents and employees at an Extra Care scheme in London celebrated International Day of Older Persons with a lively event.
Mildmays, a scheme owned and operated by Housing 21, hosted celebrations consisting of a party with a DJ and food. Partner organisation All Change, also came along with their Assocaite Artist Francesca Beard, who shared Autumn-themed poems that residents had been creating over the past month.

To continue the celebrations, a group of women from All Change joined as part of their intergenerational initiative, helping residents connect with the wider community and offering ongoing support.
A resident at the scheme, Linda, said: “It was a great get together, lovely, happy atmosphere and happiness.”
