The Beeches Public House and Restaurant is about 5 minutes walk away, and there are plenty of places both in Ashby town and locally to get good quality food at a reasonable price.
Ashby-de-la-Zouch holds many events, such as the monthly farmers market and a popular food festival. Nearby Moira also holds events along the canal-side. Conkers has regular concerts and Ashby has its own small theatre. The Ashby agricultural show is held in July and brings many people to the area.
Buses run hourly into town from a stop opposite the court. A bus stop, five minutes’ stroll away, provides services to Burton on Trent where there is a mainline train station. A weekly bus collects residents from the court for trips to the supermarket.
