Kent Better Homes, Active Lives

Better Homes, Active Lives is a partnership between Kent County Council and 10 district and borough councils in Kent. The project provides housing for:

  • Older people
  • People with learning disabilities
  • People with mental health conditions
  • Housing 21 provide housing management services to Extra Care tenants. Neighbourhood services managers also provide housing services to tenants with learning disabilities or mental health conditions.

Those wishing to be considered for the schemes below must fit into the following criteria. You must:

  • Be over the age of 16
  • Have a learning disability
  • Reside in Kent
  • Be on the local authority housing register for the area where the scheme is situated
  • Be referred by Social Services

  • Have enduring Mental Health
  • Reside in Kent
  • Be on the local authority housing register for the area where the scheme is situated
  • Be referred by Kent & Medway Partnership Trust (NHS)
