Aids and Adaptations Policy and Procedure

Housing 21 is committed to supporting and enabling residents to live as independently as possible. We aim to sustain tenancies, and maintain residents’ wellbeing by future proofing our properties through good design and by adapting properties when necessary and funding is available.   

Housing 21 will provide residents and the professionals who support them with information and advice to:  

• understand the options available  
• access disability aids, equipment and funding  
• enable joint working   

Housing 21 will support this policy by recording and understanding our residents’ disabilities and health needs to better enable and resource solutions.       

This policy will reflect Housing 21’s principles, in addition to delivering legal and regulatory requirements.
