At Housing 21, we want everyone to feel welcome and like they belong, whether they are a resident, employee, visitor or stakeholder.

We believe that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect and ask our residents and colleagues to sign up to our Respect and Inclusion Charter.

Respect and Inclusion

Everything you need to know about respect, inclusion and belonging at Housing 21

The charter sets out how we will aim to achieve an inclusive environment for everyone, regardless of their background or characteristics. The charter is based on four key principles.

  • We treat everyone with dignity and respect

  • We create an environment where everyone can be themselves

  • We seek out diverse perspectives and hear all voices

  • We seek to understand other cultures, practices and experiences

We want to do our best to make reasonable adjustments and make sure everyone can access our services, including those with different needs and requirements by giving you choice over how you receive information from us and, how we receive it from you. This includes providing interpreters where needed and providing information in alternative formats and languages.

We are committed to celebrating the diversity of our workforce, residents, volunteers and the communities in which we work and will not tolerate any form of discrimination in line with the Equality Act 2010.

If you need information in alternative format or language you can email our communications team directly and request this.
