Bowman Court is situated opposite St Alban’s Church in Larkhill, a quiet residential area just a short walk from the centre of Blackburn.
There is plenty for residents to do in the local area, with a cinema, bowling alley, museum, parks, the cathedral and pleasant walks along the canal. There is also a quiet pub on the canal-side just behind the court, where residents like to meet and enjoy a drink or meal while watching the ducks, swans and narrow boats pass by.
Local buses run every half hour into town or to nearby Accrington, Burnley, Clitheroe and Nelson from stops near the court. A railway station can be found nearby and a reliable taxi service is available.
Bowman Court has a range of onsite facilities including two residents’ lounges, a communal laundry, newly furnished guest room, kitchen and Car park.
The court is surrounded by attractive lawns, with pleasant seating areas where residents can relax and enjoy the warmer weather. Some of the residents are keen gardeners and plant an array of flowers to bring colour to the hedges and bird house. There is also a balcony where residents like to sit and enjoy the hanging baskets and watch the many birds and squirrels that visit.
