Bradstow Court is set in the historical and charming seaside town of Broadstairs in East Kent, Bradstow Court is a very popular development with something for everyone. Charles Dickens spent many years in Broadstairs, so there is a thriving cultural scene with plenty of attractions and places of interest, including Dickens Week in June, Folk Week in October, and the annual food festival.
The closest bus stop is 50 metres from the court, while local taxis are reliable and good value, and the Thanet Community Transport can accommodate those with wheelchairs, running trips to places of interest.
Social life on the scheme is vibrant, and there is a Residents Association. You can get involved in quizzes, coffee mornings, scrabble and cards, intergenerational projects with the local schools, computer classes, themed nights at the bar, monthly church services, knit and natters. Age UK run a day centre at the court twice a week and many of the residents are happy to join in with their activities.
