
Corcoran Court is situated in the town of Heywood in Lancashire, between the larger towns of Rochdale and Bury. The court offers residents a friendly atmosphere with everything they need on their doorstep.
A regular market is nearby and there is a newly built sports centre just opposite the court. There are three pubs within walking distance, all serving food, and a number of churches. Heywood holds a popular charity fete and parade through the town each September.
Queens Park is just 10 minutes’ walk away and was voted ‘best park in Britain’ a few years ago. The Roch Valley Way nature reserve is a few minutes away and offers many pleasant walks. The East Lancashire Railway Centre is a five minute car ride away and runs weekly steam trains and holds special events throughout the year.
Buses run every 10 minutes from a stop just five minutes’ walk from the court. Manchester city centre is half an hour’s drive or 40 minutes away by bus while Bury and Rochdale are both a short bus ride away. The area has a ring-and-ride service which residents can use and there are a number of reliable taxi firms offering fixed rates for trips to hospitals, the airport and other town centres.
