The nearby parade of shops caters for everyday needs with a supermarket, post office, bakers, chemist and charity shop. There are several larger supermarkets slightly further afield.
The centre of Taunton is just 10 minutes away by bus, or you can walk along the canal in half an hour. Buses run every 15 minutes into the centre of town or to the train station which provides connections to the wider area. Residents may also choose to use the local community transport and reliable taxi companies.
Leonard Houlden Court has a range of on-site facilities for residents including a communal lounge, guest room, laundry, lifts and ample parking.
The court has child-friendly gardens which are currently being redesigned. Green-fingered residents are welcome to get involved with the gardening if they choose. The gardens attract a variety of wildlife including birds, squirrels and hedgehogs.
