A burst of community spirit has helped Extra Care residents in Sunderland raise over £1000 for a local cause making a real difference

Following their success at the Housing with Care Awards last year, Rebecca Warren and Ruth Gipson were invited to the House of Lords for afternoon tea.

Housing 21’s Retirement Living resident Carol has found a unique and uplifting way to transform her love of reading into a creative passion that brings joy to others.

The Care Team at Sandstone Court in Telford took on a night outdoors for The Great Tommy Sleep Out, raising over £1,000 and spreading awareness for homeless ex-servicemen and women.

Mays Court, Felixstowe are celebrating as Kath, prepares to mark her 109th birthday, while also celebrating 50 years as a resident of Mays Court this summer.

Residents and employees have come together to celebrate local accredited contractors who have gone the extra mile as part of Housing 21’s Outstanding Contractor 2026 initiative, which received 406 nominations. 

Housing 21 is proud to announce that it has signed the ASB Help Pledge, reinforcing its commitment to supporting residents affected by anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Residents were joined by local partners, stakeholders and members of the public to mark the grand opening of Fern Meadows, an Extra Care scheme in Faringdon.

Celebrations were in full swing at the opening of Housing 21’s Retirement Living scheme, Pomeroy Court, in Huyton, Knowsley.
