Fire management

Fire management

Housing 21 carries out a fire risk assessment on all our properties which considers the whole fire-related standards of the building

  • Compartmentation
  • Fire prevention/ suppression
  • Fire escapes/ means of escape
  • Means of detection and warning
  • Construction

A critical function of the Asset Management department is to protect the business from any property related risks. This includes ensuring full statutory compliance and a managed approach to protect our customers, employees, visitors and members of the public.

We have undertaken a thorough reappraisal of our fire management strategy and approach in close collaboration with our primary authority and fire safety partners Cambridge Fire and Rescue Service

Fire risk assessments form the foundation of our fire risk strategy and are carried out by our internal surveying team.
