Contractors help us to deliver excellent, quality services to our residents.
Each year, we spend over £100 million on a wide range of goods, works and services to ensure contractor awards deliver the best possible experience for our residents.
When sourcing for contractors, we are required to follow the Procurement Act 2023 and when frameworks are not used, opportunities for contracts above the UK threshold are advertised on the Government Central Digital platform.
For low value, local contract opportunities, our devolved procurement model means our Local Housing Managers are responsible for sourcing quotes locally.
This can include annual contracts for:
- Gardening
- Window cleaning
- Plumbers
- Electricians
If you’re interested in submitting quotes, contact our Local Housing Managers directly by searching for schemes within your area using the search bar in the top menu.
The Procurement Team supports tenders for national contract awards that are above the UK threshold.
To meet health and safety and insurance criteria, all contractors are required to have SSIP accreditation (Safety Schemes In Procurement) or a H&S accreditation relevant to the local trade. For example, Construction Line, Safe Contractor, SMAS, CHAS, etc.
