Singleton Court is set in the attractive and friendly village of Patrington, which enjoys a peaceful location yet is on a regular bus route to the seaside town of Withernsea or the bustling city of Hull.

The main village centre is a short stroll away and there are shops, cafés, pubs, a garage, bank, doctors surgery, post office, church and a village hall, which holds regular events.

Nearby Withernsea, just four miles away, offers a wider range of supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, pubs and a leisure centre. The town holds an annual carnival in its valley gardens.

The vibrant city of Hull is just 20 minutes away by car and has a wealth of shopping and retail facilities as well as the Princess Quay shopping centre and the attractive marina area. The city has a theatre, markets, museums, The Deep aquarium, ice arena and a regular programme of events all year round.

The surrounding area offers many beauty spots including the Spurn Point nature reserve and the Yorkshire moors.

Buses run regularly to Withernsea and Hull from a stop just outside the court. Patrington has a taxi station and the local ‘hart’ bus provides trips to the supermarket. Hull has a large train station offering connections to the whole railway network.

Singleton Court has a range of on-site facilities including a newly refurbished lounge, communal laundry and a guest room with twin beds.

The court has large and attractive gardens with flowerbeds and pleasant seating areas where residents can relax and enjoy the fresh air, or watch the birds and squirrels which regularly visit. The gardens host an annual barbecue for residents and their families. Green-fingered residents are welcome to get involved with the gardening if they wish.

Life at Singleton Court

Residents of this friendly court have the use of many on-site facilities, not least of all the bright, attractive communal lounge area where social events and entertainment takes place throughout the year. Regular activities include coffee mornings, lunch and craft clubs, quiz nights and bingo sessions; there are also occasional race nights, pie and pea suppers, seasonal events and off-site trips. The pleasant seating areas in the large attractive gardens offer the opportunity for a spot of outdoor relaxation and socialising in fine weather, with the green fingered amongst the residents being welcome to get involved with the gardening if they wish.
