Smalley Court

Smalley Court is an attractive and welcoming scheme in a peaceful area of Chasetown, just a short bus ride from the lively cathedral city of Lichfield.

The Retirement Living scheme has a range of onsite facilities including a spacious residents’ lounge, kitchen, communal laundry, lifts and a Car park.

Lichfield is just 20 minutes away by bus and has several weekly markets, a monthly farmers’ market and a wealth of high street stores, independent shops, pubs, cafés, restaurants, hairdressers, booksellers and antique shops.

Places of interest include the renowned Garrick Theatre, the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum, Erasmus Darwin House, the Staffordshire Hoard and the Cathedral. The historic city holds a variety of events throughout the year including fetes, arts festivals and music events.

Buses run every 30 minutes from a stop close to the court and will take you into Chasetown, Lichfield, Cannock, Brownhills and Walsall.

Lichfield has two train stations providing links to the local area as well as Birmingham and London. Some residents choose to use the local ring-and-ride or voluntary car scheme to get to the shops or to appointments.

The court has gardens with pleasant seating areas where residents can relax and enjoy the warmer weather or watch the birds that visit. Residents are welcome to get involved with the gardening if they choose and some have their own areas to tend. There are occasional barbecues and fetes in the gardens during the summer months.
