Our commitment to helping you develop your skills and improve your performance starts from day one, with a tailored induction and development pathway designed to maximise your skills, knowledge and development opportunities. 

We are dedicated to the ongoing development of all our employees and recognise that upskilling people helps them to perform at their best and deliver an excellent service to our residents. We’re proud to offer an extensive range of in-house and external programmes including: 

Housing Management 

Operational managers complete a structured pathway of learning over 24 months. 

Care Certificate 

Every Care Worker receives full Skills for Care accredited in-house training in all aspects of care delivery and current legislation. 

Extra Care Academy 

Our industry-first programme gears up our Care Workers with the skills and qualifications they need to develop and pursue a successful career in management (that could lead to future roles with salaries of £50,000) over a two year period. On successful completion of the Extra Care Academy, individual​s will receive a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship including Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. 

 

Leadership and Management Training 

Leading to Excellence: A Level 3 management development programme accredited by The Institute of Leadership and Management. 

Inspiring Excellence: The next step up from Leading to Excellence, this is a Level 5 leadership development programme and is also accredited by The Institute of Leadership and Management. 

We’re also pleased to offer Level 5 University Certificate of Professional Development in Management and Level 7 University Certificate of Professional Development in Leadership, delivered by De Montfort University. 

Apprenticeships 

We are delighted to offer apprenticeships and many employees have taken advantage of this opportunity to develop their knowledge and further their career. 

All apprenticeships, which can take 12 to 48 months to complete, include the following: 

  • A nationally recognised qualification, e.g. Diploma or Certificate.
  • Functional skills Maths and English.
  • 20 percent off the job training.
  • Portfolio of evidence.
  • Work based project.
