Key Tasks
- Key Tasks
Provide a range of domestic services including cleaning and shopping for residents in their home based on individual requirements, ensuring residents needs are met. - Assist Housing Services staff in the routine testing and monitoring of health & safety procedures including Fire Alarm testing.
- Deals with emergencies and acts appropriately with regard to health and safety issues.
- Ensure levels of cleaning materials are maintained and equipment is in good working order, escalating to the Manager for replacements when necessary.Responsible for own Health & Safety ensuring a safe working environment for colleagues.
- Undertakes any other duties in line with the basic objectives of the post.
Experience
- Domestic cleaning experience
- Good general standard of education
- Willingness to participate in training
- Experience working with older people (desirable)

- Good organisational skills

- Deals effectively with emergency situations
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle petty cash/ finance and receipts
- Ability to demonstrate common sense
- Good time management skills
- Methodical and able to complete set tasks on time
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), which will be paid for by Housing 21.
